E. Mališausko initial connection to the club began with a green and white trip accompanied by his older brother. This outing led them to their first match experience in Kaunas.
Mališauskas recounted the memory, noting, “We were on a train, there were a few fans, all of them spread out over several wagons. As soon as we entered the tunnel in Kaunas, there was a lot of chanting. It was a very big impression on me, as a kid.” He explained that this was his first exposure to the “Žalgiris” and the passionate “Žalgirio” fans and the atmosphere of football from the stands.
From that point forward, Mališauskas stated, he committed his support to the “Žalgiris” and the Vilnius team. Throughout the years, Mališauskas maintained a consistent connection with the club, even as circumstances changed. His visits extended beyond just home matches; he accompanied the team on several European trips.
Mališauskas described the “Žalgiris” not merely as a football team, but as a robust community. The shared experiences during these journeys, involving the dedicated fans, solidified his bond with the organization. These early outings and subsequent shared experiences formed the foundation of his enduring support for the team and its community spirit.
