In Lampėdžiai, a drowned man was pulled out of the water

The Kaunas Fire and Rescue Department issued reports detailing two separate incidents involving water rescues on Sunday. The most recent event occurred around 11:00 PM, near Riešės street, close to Lake Lampėdžio. Responders were dispatched after a report indicated a man was struggling in the pond.

Firefighters arrived at the scene and successfully pulled the man from the water, specifically from a location approximately two meters from the shore. Following the extraction, the individual was placed on a stretcher and subsequently secured to an immobilization board before medics could assess his condition. Earlier on the same day, a separate incident was reported by a firefighter to medical personnel.

This earlier event took place around 7:48 PM in the Prienai district, near Kranto street, in the vicinity of the establishment known as “Teka teka.” During this incident, the firefighter attempted to rescue a man. However, the rescue effort concluded when the firefighter was no longer able to visually locate the man. The department confirmed that the personnel remained active throughout the day, responding to various calls.

Both incidents highlight the department’s readiness to respond to emergencies in the Kaunas area, managing situations ranging from water rescues to missing persons reports. All details regarding the timing and locations were relayed through official department channels.
