State Day – a unique achievement of a tractor: it crossed five lakes without leaving the shore

An athlete recently completed a significant endurance feat by circumnavigating five distinct lakes within the Trakų district. The trek covered a total distance of 22.5 kilometers, an undertaking that required the athlete to complete the circuit in 11 hours, 31 minutes, and 15 seconds. Trakų lakes hold notable significance for the participant, V.

Filipovič, who has previously demonstrated considerable physical capacity, including an earlier record in Lithuanian ice hockey involving time spent on the ice. For this recent challenge, however, the athlete opted for a different, yet equally demanding, route across the natural landscape. The accomplishment was highlighted by local officials, who viewed the event as a reflection of the Trakų region’s core values, including determination and environmental respect.

According to Trakų district mayor Andrius Šatevičius, such initiatives serve to inspire the community and promote the region’s identity. The successful completion of the multi-lake route represents a notable achievement for the athlete. The scale of the effort—covering the Galvės, Skaisčio, Totoriškių, Bernardinų, and Nerespinkos lakes—underscores a high level of physical endurance.

The event successfully merged athletic endeavor with regional stewardship, drawing attention to the natural resources and the commitment to the area’s development.
