According to data compiled by the State Tax Inspectorate (VMI), local charitable organizations have successfully secured significant financial support through public donations. The public institution “Funny Feet” was reported to have been due 212,700 euros, accumulating 182,400 euros through donations from approximately 3,800 individuals in Klaipėda. “Be my friend” ranked second in terms of collected funds, also receiving 182,400 euros from 3,400 donors.
These figures reflect strong community engagement, as both institutions also secured substantial amounts last year, totaling 186,000 euros and 158,000 euros, respectively. Other local initiatives have also benefited from community generosity. Alan Agatanov’s support fund, which aids sick children, is set to receive 54,400 euros this year, based on contributions from nearly 1,100 people.
Furthermore, the city’s dog shelter, “Fairy Tale of Puppies,” received support from 965 people. The data highlights the broad scope of charitable giving across various animal welfare and community support sectors. While the report notes challenges, such as the inability to save every kitten found at the Regitra center, the overall volume of donations received underscores the community’s commitment to local causes.
These collected euros demonstrate consistent public participation, providing crucial resources for these vital services.
