R. Kirilkinas spoke about the hidden history of Vilnius Pride: “It was like a slap in the face”

During an appearance on the show “Delfi Premiera,” the artist addressed several topics, including the unveiling of a new song, music video, and stage name. He also revisited an incident that occurred in June. Ruslan stated that following his exclusion from the event’s program, he repeatedly contacted the Lithuanian Gay Association (LGA) but did not receive a clear explanation.

“The LGL did not explain anything,” the artist reported. “I wrote letters to them several times, but I did not receive an answer. I only heard that they were pressuring some of the supporters of ‘Vilnius Pride,’ who did not want me to participate.

I do not know the reasons for this to date.”

The artist also spoke about his personal life, specifically his time in Spain and the fact that he lost nearly 30 kilograms. Ruslan indicated that this story affected him deeply. He emphasized that his support for the LGBTQ+ community spans many years, noting that he was among the founders of the Lithuanian Gay Association.

He made it clear that his commitment to the community was long-standing. The discussion centered on his experiences and his relationship with the local advocacy groups.
