According to reports from the Telšių County Police Department, a traffic incident occurred on the evening of July 12 at approximately 7:27 PM at the uncontrolled Vainočiai-Raudondvaris interchange. The collision involved several vehicles, including a Volkswagen Touran and a commercial Mercedes-Benz Actros. Authorities reported that the driver of the Volkswagen Touran, identified as a sober male born in 1977, failed to allow the Mercedes-Benz Actros, operated by a sober male born in 1996, to pass on the main roadway.
This action resulted in a direct impact between the two vehicles. Following the initial collision, the Volkswagen Touran sustained a secondary impact with a third vehicle, a Toyota. As a result of the accident, the driver of the Volkswagen Touran was reported to be injured.
The individual was subsequently transported to a facility and hospitalized for necessary outpatient treatment. Police reports confirmed that all drivers involved were reported to be sober at the time of the incident.
