A car with a woman injured after starting to drive without a driver in Vilnius near a clinic

On July 14th, around 2:10 p.m., a woman contacted authorities reporting that she was being pressed by a car that had begun moving without visible control on Šeškinės street, near the Šeškinė polyclinic. The initial phone call was eventually disconnected, making it impossible for the woman to contact the police or emergency services directly. Consequently, both medical personnel and police patrols were dispatched to the location.

Upon their arrival, the 57-year-old woman was located sitting inside the vehicle. She explained that while she was in the process of loading items into the car’s trunk, the vehicle suddenly started moving on its own, resulting in injuries to her. Emergency responders from both the medical and police services attended to the incident.

The initial reports indicated that the malfunction of the car caused the woman to sustain injuries. Authorities responded to the scene to assess the situation involving the unattended vehicle and the injured woman.
