The final decision made by the commission remains subject to approval by a vote of the entire Seimas. Despite this, Viktoras Pranckietis, who is both the founder and vice-chair of the Alexander Stulginsky Star Award Commission, will continue his involvement with the group. The commission comprises nine members serving in the Seimas.
These members are Dalia Asanavičiūtė-Gružauskienė, Ruslanas Baranovas, Ligita Girskienė, Vytautas Jucius, R. Miliūtė, Arvydas Pocius, V. Pranckietis, Paulius Visockas, and Jūratė Zailskienė.
Notably, the current membership does not include Lukas Savickas, the minister of energy who has also become a parliamentarian. The structure and proceedings of the commission are currently under review, emphasizing the mandatory ratification process through the Seimas. While the commission’s initial findings and recommendations are established by its nine-member body, the ultimate authorization requires a formal vote from all members of the Seimas.
This procedural requirement ensures that the Alexander Stulginsky Star Award Commission’s recommendations meet the necessary legislative consensus.
