Cinema vs. Japanese: which one to choose for an affordable four-cylinder new model motorcycle?

Honda has recently made available some of its more affordable four-cylinder motorcycles. The CB650 R was the intended subject of this evaluation. However, due to the limited number of motorcycles available in the Lithuanian market, the specific test version was unavailable.

Consequently, the reviewers had to choose a different, more expensive model: the “Hornet CB1000,” which has a listed price of 10,490 euros and produces 150 horsepower. This model is noted as being sportier than a competing four-cylinder motorcycle, the “QJ Motor” brand’s “SRK 800.” The comparison involves two distinct machines. The “Hornet CB1000” and the “SRK 800” are direct competitors in the segment.

The “SRK 800” features a smaller 778 cubic centimeter displacement and generates 95 horsepower (70 kW). While the comparison between the two is informative, the article notes that a more direct comparison would have been possible if the CB650 R had been available for testing, as its power output would have provided a more accurate benchmark. Nevertheless, the two models presented remain significantly different in specification and performance.
