A survey conducted in Lithuania between June 19 and June 30, 2026, assessed public sentiment regarding several prominent political and public figures. According to the results, the current president, Valdas Adamkus, was the most favorably viewed, receiving support from 79% of respondents. The former president, Dalia Grybauskaitė, was also highly regarded, with 60% of the population viewing her positively.
Following these leaders, V. Sinkevičius, the leader of the Democratic Union “For the sake of Lithuania,” and the current president, Gitanas Nausėda, were both viewed favorably by 49% of those surveyed. Several other individuals also received more positive evaluations than negative ones.
These included Valius Ąžuolas, a member of the Seimas, and the public figure Andrius Tapinas, both of whom were viewed positively by 46% of respondents. Similarly, Kęstutis Budrys, the foreign minister, and Edmundas Jakilaitis, a journalist, were viewed favorably by 45%. Vytautas Sinica, the chairman of the National Union, was viewed by 40% of the public.
Notably, the perception of V. Sinkevičius showed the most significant shift over the survey period. Over the course of one month, the percentage of respondents who viewed him favorably increased from 46% to 50%.
The data provides a snapshot of who the Lithuanian population currently views most positively among its leading figures.
