The prosecutor’s office has started an investigation into the “Celofan mobbing” video on social media

The prosecutor’s office reported that the statement made by an account manager has been published in comments accompanying a widely circulated video. This video features an individual claiming that Russia is compiling lists of military targets for shelling within the territory of the Baltic states. The statement, which appeared on the “Celofan mobbing” account published in Lithuanian, further alleged that, “We are also starting to compile a list of people that Russia could send out of Lithuania.” A corresponding text in Russian stated, “We will not thank you, but we will pay: a carload of beef and pork for every head.” Following this text, a list containing the names and surnames of 66 Lithuanian citizens, including several public figures, was also published.

The prosecutor’s office provided this information regarding the dissemination of these statements. The content raises concerns about the nature and source of the claims circulating online, particularly those involving threats against the Baltic nations and specific groups of citizens. The publication of this list, coupled with the preceding inflammatory statements, forms the core of the material under review by the prosecutor’s office.
