Parents left the baby alone at the pool: when the worst happened, it was discovered in the morgue that the baby’s heart was still beating

A young boy, Vincent Lorenzo Fiordilino, was recently found alive at the hospital morgue after medical personnel had initially declared him deceased. The incident stemmed from an accident that occurred in the family’s backyard pool. According to reports, the baby was discovered floating face down in the pool after a period of unsupervised time.

The situation arose when the parents left the child unattended for approximately fifteen minutes to speak with someone. Shortly after their departure, the family noticed the boy was missing. His mother, Alexus Fiordilino, subsequently located him in the pool.

At the time of discovery, the boy was unresponsive. His father, Angelo Fiordilino, immediately contacted emergency services by calling 911. During the call, a family member confirmed to dispatchers that they had located their son.

Following the rescue, the medical situation remained critical. Despite initial findings at the hospital that suggested the boy had passed away, further assessment led to the discovery that Vincent was, in fact, alive. The incident highlights the dangers associated with unattended access to water, emphasizing the crucial role of immediate parental supervision.
