The selection process for a new manager for the Klaipėda City Department of Law and Personnel is moving into its next phase. According to Andrius Kačalinas, head of the department, the first stage of the competition is scheduled for next week. Following the evaluation conducted by the selection commission, the highest-scoring candidates will advance to the second stage.
This subsequent stage will involve a conversation with the city mayor, Arvydas Vaitkus. The criteria for advancing are specific: two candidates who achieve the highest number of points, provided these scores are no lower than 6 points, will proceed. Should only one candidate meet this specified threshold, that individual will automatically be selected for the second stage.
During this second stage, the mayor, Arvydas Vaitkus, will conduct the evaluation and assign a score ranging from 1 to 10 points. The competition aims to appoint a new manager to a fixed-term contract spanning five years. This structured, multi-stage process ensures a thorough assessment of the applicants’ qualifications before a final decision is made regarding the department’s leadership.
