During a three-car collision in Pasvalys district, a woman was injured

According to reports from the Panevėžys County Police Department, a multi-vehicle traffic accident occurred on July 18 at approximately 12:40 PM. The incident involved three vehicles: an Opel Zafira, a Volkswagen Touran, and a BMW 535D. The police report indicates that the driver of the Opel Zafira, a vehicle manufactured in 1965, was cited for failing to adhere to safe speed limits and maintain a proper following distance.

The Zafira was involved in an initial collision with a Volkswagen Touran, which was traveling in the same direction and executing a right turn. The accident resulted in damage to all three vehicles involved.

Furthermore, the passenger inside the Opel Zafira, which shares the 1965 model year designation with the vehicle itself, sustained injuries. Authorities confirmed that the collision required immediate intervention and resulted in property damage across the roadway. The investigation focused on the contributing factors leading to the Zafira’s deviation into oncoming traffic.

The police department concluded their initial findings regarding the sequence of events, emphasizing the role of unsafe driving practices in the incident.
