The Ignalina city festival is beautiful, famous and widely known

A series of events were held for Lithuanian citizens of Ignalina and visiting guests, featuring organized tours, festive runs, a night hike, and an interactive activity titled “River of Joy.” Participants were invited to engage in a discussion forum, explore local museums in the Ignalina region, and visit the Czechoslovak Kudaba Gymnasium, alongside various creative workshops. The celebration continued into the evening on Friday with the concert “Muzikinė Ignalinos istorija,” which drew a large crowd to the Liberty Square. The event included a performance by Raimondo Žievio, whose act created a visual spectacle above the town.

Mayor Laimutis Ragaišis addressed the attendees, extending wishes for happiness and community spirit. He emphasized that the passion of the people for Ignalina was the most significant element of the day. Throughout the proceedings, not only the mayor but also numerous residents spoke about the city with notable sincerity and depth.

A particularly memorable highlight of the evening was the segment where participants from the “Muzikinė Ignalinos istorija” concert and members of an art collective shared their perspectives on the local community. The overall festival provided a comprehensive cultural experience, allowing the community to celebrate its heritage and the spirit of the city of Ignalina.
