The “Cat’s Valley” café, located in the premises of Tiltų street, officially opened its doors on Wednesday, albeit a few weeks later than initially scheduled. The establishment is set to welcome visitors with a group of eight resident cats. Enrikas Viršyla, the owner of the small community initiative known as “Cat’s Valley,” provided details to the news portal VE.lt regarding the diverse backgrounds of the cats awaiting guests.
Viršyla explained that the animals represent several different circumstances. He noted that some of the cats are genuinely ownerless, while another portion consists of stray cats that were collected from the general public. Furthermore, the owner indicated that a third group of cats were left behind by owners who have since moved abroad.
The café aims to provide a welcoming environment for both the animals and the public. The presence of the cats has generated community interest, drawing attention to the care and rehabilitation efforts undertaken by the local organization.
