Weather forecaster Elvyra Latvėnaitė reported that Lithuania is currently experiencing the passage of another small cyclone, designated Deborah. While the cyclone’s influence is expected to diminish, its presence will continue to affect the local weather conditions throughout Friday. According to the forecast, residents can anticipate intermittent periods of rain accompanied by thunderstorms on Friday.
However, the overall weather pattern is shifting toward drier and calmer conditions originating from the west and southwest. This change is attributed to the expanding anticlockwise flow associated with the Norbert ridge, which is moving toward the southern Baltic Sea and Lithuania. The rain expected on Friday is a result of the combined influence of the cyclone system acting from both the western and eastern directions.
Nevertheless, forecaster Latvėnaitė advised that the precipitation is projected to subside by the evening. Overall, the day is expected to be warmer than previous periods. While some scattered rain may occur during the day, the evening is forecast to clear up, offering more stable conditions.
The general trend indicates an improvement in the weather as the more stable air mass moves in, marking a transition away from the immediate impact of the passing cyclone.
