The Democrats approved 13 candidates for mayors, the new party leadership

The nomination process for next year’s municipal elections requires that remaining candidates secure their nominations by the autumn season. Several key leadership roles have been designated, reflecting the involvement of local party structures across various municipalities. Specific nominations include Rasos Bekėžienė for the mayor position in Klaipėda, and Tautvydas Džiautas is nominated to serve as the mayor of Alytus.

For Šiauliai, Domas Griškevičius is nominated as the mayor, while Sandra Jakė is slated to serve as the district mayor for the same city. Renaldas Maziukas is nominated for Druskininkai, and Petras Nevulis is set to become the district mayor of Panevėžys. It is noted that all these individuals currently hold the position of chairman within their respective local party chapter chapters.

Further nominations cover several other areas. Julius Strampickas is designated as the candidate for the district mayor of Prienai, and Dominykas Tutkus is nominated for the district mayor role in Anykščiai. Darius Ulickas is slated to serve as the district mayor of Raseiniai, and also heads the district in the regions.

For Ukmergė, Darius Varna has been nominated, and Rasa Vitkauskienė is set to take the district mayor role in Alytus. The district mayoralty for Pasvalys will be filled by Neringa Trinskienė, who chairs the district mayor’s chapter. Additionally, Dariušas L.

has been nominated to serve as the mayor of Vilnius. These nominations underscore the organized structure through which the local party networks are preparing candidates for the upcoming municipal contests.
