The circumstances of the motorcycle driver’s death near Jurbarkas have been revealed – the accident was caused by the drunk driver

On July 26th, a significant traffic accident occurred on the Kaunas-Jurbarkas-Šilutė-Klaipėda road, specifically at the 121st kilometer mark, near Jurbarkas. Reports indicate that the collision took place at approximately 7:43 PM. The accident involved two vehicles: a Citroen C5 automobile and a KTM moped.

The vehicle was operated by a man born in 1997, while the moped was driven by a second man, born in 1991. Tragically, the moped driver sustained fatal injuries in the incident. According to the police department, details regarding the cause of the accident were released on Monday morning.

Authorities stated that the collision happened when the Citroen C5, driven by the 1997-born individual, reportedly left the designated opposite lane of traffic. The investigation focused on the maneuver of the car’s driver, which resulted in the severe impact with the moped. This incident underscores the dangers associated with lane adherence and vehicle operation on major thoroughfares like the Kaunas-Jurbarkas-Šilutė-Klaipėda route.
