A serious traffic accident occurred on July 26 at approximately 11:20 a.m. in Nociūnai village, located within the Kėdainiai district. According to reports from the Kaunas district Police Department, the collision involved a Renault car and a Kawasaki motorcycle traveling on the Panevėžys – Sitkūnai road.
The Kaunas Fire Department confirmed that rescue services were alerted to the incident via the vehicle’s automatic “e-Call” system. Upon arrival at the scene, emergency personnel found the light car and motorcycle involved in the collision. Due to the nature of the accident, rescue teams utilized specialized equipment to cut away the car’s steel plating, allowing for the safe extraction of the driver, who was found on the passenger side.
It was reported that the car was transporting four individuals at the time of the crash. Following the rescue operation, the car’s driver was transported to the hospital for medical evaluation. Authorities confirmed that the incident required significant emergency response efforts due to the severity of the collision.
