Media: G. Palucko appointed former Prime Minister L. Rudys as Chancellor of VRM

L. Rudys assumed the role of Chancellor of the Government in December 2024, having been appointed by former Prime Minister G. Palucko.

Prior to this appointment, Rudys served as a lawyer and the head of the Contributions Administration Department at the “Sodra” insurance company. He obtained his law degree from Mykolo Romerio University. Within the Ministry of the Minister, Martynas Katelynas, who is headed by the Minister, three deputy ministers are currently serving: Vaidotas Jakštas, Linas Drazdauskas, and Ana Burkovskienė.

Additionally, sources indicate that Marius Skorupskas, another associate of G. Palucko, is expected to take on the role of the fourth deputy minister. These developments follow previous reports concerning the government structure.

For instance, media reports have noted that the Chancellor of the Government, who also heads the Ministry of the Prime Minister, had previously suggested to the head of the Ministry of Agriculture that they resign during the summer months. The information regarding the government’s composition is also framed by other political developments, such as an article detailing the parliamentary discussion surrounding a factory mystery, and previous coverage concerning the intervention of G. Nausėda.
