Delaney shared that she was seeking a companion for Connie. Although the adoption advertisement did not specifically mention any unusual features of Toby’s paws, the caretaker noted that the kitten possessed extra fingers. Upon hearing this, Delaney immediately felt it was destiny.
“I could not believe my eyes when I first saw his paws,” Delaney stated. “Since I already had a polydactyl cat, I was expecting to see extra ‘fingers,’ but Toby’s paws exceeded all expectations.”
The encounter, which Delaney described as a “naive” incident, was noteworthy because the kitten did not attempt to flee. Despite the unexpected nature of the situation, the appearance of Toby’s paws confirmed a connection for Delaney.
