The deadline for individual homeowners has passed – the service is overcrowded with requests in recent days

During a four-year period allotted for documentation submission, the Lithuanian Geological Service processed a significant volume of submissions related to the temporary authorization procedure. In total, the service received 22,431 applications. Of these, a notable 8,540 applications were submitted during the additional years allocated for compliance.

As of July 31, the register recorded 5,892 previously unregistered wells within the Earth’s subsurface. The administrative workflow involves several stages: approximately 2,200 applications were returned to applicants for necessary corrections due to identified errors, while an additional 14,330 applications remain pending review. The rate of submissions showed an increasing trend as the submission deadline approached.
