After the heatwave – a synoptic warning: the most stormy weather in this part of Lithuania

A high-pressure system, identified as Pythagoras, has brought dry and calm weather conditions, according to the forecaster. Wind patterns were noted for the current period, with southerly to southwesterly winds ranging from 4 to 8 meters per second at night, and southwesterly to westerly winds of 5 to 10 meters per second during the day. Coastal areas experienced winds between 7 and 12 meters per second, with thunderstorms generating gusts of 15 to 18 meters per second, and evening gusts potentially reaching up to 24 meters per second.

Temperatures ranged from 17–21°C at night, climbing to 27–32°C during the day, while western and northwestern regions recorded temperatures between 22–26°C. The forecaster also provided details regarding the weather for subsequent days. The middle of the week is expected to be hot, with temperatures projected to reach 32 degrees Celsius on Friday, August 7th.

Rainfall is possible, particularly at night and during thunderstorms. Wind speeds are anticipated to be 6–11 m/s at night and 7–12 m/s during the day, with coastal gusts up to 15 m/s. Overnight temperatures are expected to be 14–18°C, with the warmest conditions forecast for the coast and the southeastern and eastern regions.

Daytime temperatures are predicted to be 19–23°C. These forecasts provide an overview of the expected weather patterns.
