Verbickas confirmed that the local authorities are coordinating efforts to manage the cleanup and address the resulting situation. He noted that insurance coverage is in place for the damaged properties. Beyond structural damage, the severe weather also affected critical infrastructure, leading to numerous power line outages.
In response, 44 teams from ESO, alongside firefighters, have been mobilized from across the country to assist. These teams are working to restore power and ensure access for emergency services. While most major routes remain passable, the governor specified that the road network is compromised in a limited area.
He confirmed that the settlements most significantly impacted are Puvočiai village and Kasčiūnai village. Of the access routes, only one road in Kasčiūnai village was reported as impassable, though efforts are underway to restore full connectivity. The overall response highlights a coordinated effort to stabilize the area following the adverse weather event.
