According to Lina Baranauskienė, head of the VVTAĮT Vilnius County Office, the psychologists listened to and documented the opinions of the children. The meeting was structured to accommodate different age groups, with interactions held with the youngest children at 10 a.m.

and with the older children at 1 p.m. Ms. Baranauskienė noted that previous efforts to convene the meeting with the children of the family had been attempted on at least two occasions but had been unsuccessful.

She confirmed that the VVTAĮT has already gathered substantial information regarding the six children of the Žlabių family from various external sources, including healthcare providers and other institutions. The office stated that the information indicated that the children were considered to be in danger. The engagement with the children was conducted by professional psychologists to ensure their perspectives were formally recorded.
