A dog was found to be dying – the wire had almost cut its neck: after a shocking story, life turned upside down

On May 22, a four-year-old American pit bull terrier named Loki was rescued by local personnel, according to the Arizona Humane Society. The dog was found suffering from severe injuries, with wounds affecting approximately 60% of his neck area. Veterinary examination revealed that the dog had a history of being restrained.

Specifically, the animal had been subjected to multiple bindings, including a nylon collar and two instances of plastic-covered wire wrapped around its neck. It is suspected that Loki became entangled in the wire, leading him to bite the material in an attempt to free himself. While he eventually escaped, he was later discovered wandering and severely injured.

Upon discovery, rescuers immediately transported the distressed dog to the Arizona Humane Society’s trauma hospital for emergency care. At the facility, veterinarians thoroughly cleaned the wounds and treated the injuries by applying specialized wound dressings impregnated with medicinal honey. Furthermore, the dog received necessary intravenous fluids to stabilize his condition.

The rescue effort provided immediate medical attention to the injured dog, addressing the trauma sustained from the bindings and entanglement.
