Two middle-aged men were caught by Kaunas police with cocaine and automatic weapons

Preliminary investigations conducted by law enforcement revealed the seizure of a substantial quantity of suspected narcotic substances from the suspects. Authorities recovered at least 700 grams of cocaine. It is suspected that approximately 100 grams of this material was transferred between the two men present, intended for subsequent distribution.

During the search, police officers also found several other items of interest. Specifically, three firearms were recovered in the possession of the suspects, two of which were presumed to be automatic models. Additionally, three magazines loaded with ammunition were found alongside the weapons.

The investigation also established prior criminal histories for the individuals involved. One suspect, a 49-year-old resident of Kaunas, has a previous conviction record. Another suspect, a 47-year-old resident of the Kaunas district, has been convicted in Lithuania for offenses including negligent accounting management, bribery, forgery or dealing with a forged document, fraud, and theft.

This individual also possesses convictions from foreign jurisdictions. The evidence collected suggests organized activity involving the illicit trade of narcotics and weaponry.
