The agreement encompasses the provision of extended warranties, accessories, test sets, and tool kits for the hardware. The total nominal value of the contract is set at 13.3 million US dollars.
The scope of work is slated to take place at the Nightline plant located in Mountain City, Tennessee. The anticipated completion date for the project is December 31, 2030. According to “Defence Blog,” the military allocated the entire 12.8 million US dollars for this contract through the 2026 Foreign Military Sales Fund designated for Lithuania.
The device at the center of this agreement is the AN/PVS-14, a monochrome night vision unit. This model has served as a standard night vision apparatus for the U.S. military for several decades.
The AN/PVS-14 offers versatile mounting options, allowing it to be operated handheld, attached to a helmet, or mounted onto a weapon system. A key feature of the device is its capability to enable the user to maintain natural, night vision-adapted vision using a single eye.
