The Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) receives daily reports on fuel prices from a wide network of providers. As of August 20, data was submitted by 73 fuel companies operating 753 gas stations across Lithuania. These companies are required to report the prevailing prices for fuel sold at their gas stations to the LEA every day, with updates published on the ena.lt website before 10 a.m.
Due to the dynamic nature of the market, fuel prices at gas stations are subject to frequent adjustments throughout the day. According to the data collected on August 20 prior to the 10 a.m. cutoff, the lowest recorded diesel prices were observed at two Baltic Petroleum locations within Vilnius, registering at 1.949 EUR/l.
Conversely, the highest diesel prices were reported across a larger number of sites, specifically at twenty-nine stations belonging to the Viada network and ten stations associated with the Circle K network. The report highlights the continuous monitoring required for consumers managing their fuel expenditure. Looking ahead, the approaching autumn season is forecast to present a financial challenge for residents, with expectations that overall costs related to fuel consumption may increase.
