The 18-year-old sports club faced a significant operational challenge in 2024, necessitating a relocation due to changes at its primary facility. The owners of the building situated at Gedimino pr. 28 announced plans to renovate the premises for commercial office use.
This development meant the club would vacate the site when its lease expired, compelling the organization to secure a new location that could guarantee operational stability for more than a decade and support its ongoing growth trajectory. Following a thorough search, the club successfully secured a new base of operations at Gedimino pr. 24.
This new site is geographically proximate, located only a few dozen meters from the club’s previous address. However, the premises required substantial preparatory work. Upon deciding to look at the new space, it became clear that the facility needed comprehensive overhauling.
The necessary renovations were extensive, encompassing the repair and modernization of critical infrastructure, including the electrical and water supply systems. Furthermore, general structural repairs and a complete interior renovation were required to bring the space up to modern standards. This transition represents a crucial step for the club, allowing it to continue its activities while establishing a foundation capable of supporting future athletic and institutional development.
The move ensures the continuity of the club’s mission while adapting to changing urban real estate conditions.
