The Constitutional Court “relieved” the famous Kaunas pedophile is back in prison – the order has already been sent to the police

R. Jakštys has been formally sentenced to a term of imprisonment following the conclusion of the third and final case before the Kaunas District Court. The sentence officially took effect after the Kaunas District Court rejected the appeal filed by his legal counsel last Tuesday.

Consequently, the mandate for his incarceration is now active, and arrangements are underway for his immediate transfer into custody. According to Vita Padriezaitė, Deputy of the Kaunas District Court, official documentation was dispatched to the police department on Thursday to ensure the enforcement of the court’s ruling. These actions confirm that the court’s decision has been finalized and is being executed.

It is anticipated that the relevant court order will reach the police officers, facilitating Jakštys’s transfer to either the Pravieniškės or Kaunas prison facility as early as Friday. The proceedings involved the conviction of R. Jakštys across three separate cases adjudicated during the recent session at the Kaunas District Court.

The court’s ruling marks the culmination of these legal proceedings. The enforcement of the sentence underscores the judicial process within the Kaunas system, moving the defendant from the courtroom to the correctional facility. The procedural steps taken by the court and law enforcement indicate a swift transition from the judicial decision to its physical implementation within the prison system.
