The annual Olympiad convened a large international field, drawing 184 participants representing 48 nations across six continents. The competition showcased high levels of global academic and competitive talent. The Lithuanian team secured the top place in the world rankings, achieving a victory that surpassed strong competitors including Kazakhstan, which claimed second place, and the United States, which finished in third place.
The team’s success was noted alongside consistent performances from other highly ranked nations such as Singapore, Indonesia, Romania, and Latvia. The medal haul highlighted individual excellence across various grade levels. Two students from the Vilnius lyceum achieved gold medals: Lukas Petrikas, a student in the iii grade, mentored by Rima Bačkienė, and Ugnius Vilimas, also in the iii grade, advised by Jolita Milaknienė.
Further success was recorded by Faustas Kondratavičius and Rojus Kondratavičius, both students in the IV grade from the Lithuanian Health Sciences University gymnasium, who earned silver medals under the guidance of Jovita Vizbarienė. The results underscore the depth of talent within the participating institutions and mark a significant achievement for the Lithuanian contingent on the international stage.
