Historically, the company sourced all its purchased electricity exclusively from renewable energy sources. Furthermore, a substantial portion of its transportation assets utilizes low-polluting vehicles, with over 93% of the company’s fleet meeting this criterion.
The organization also actively contributes to regional energy conservation efforts. A significant measure of this commitment is evident in its refrigeration units, where 77% of the equipment are energy-saving models. Cumulatively, since 2019, Coca-Cola HBC is estimated to have saved over 179 million kilowatt-hours (kWh) of electricity.
This considerable amount of conserved energy is equivalent to the annual power supply for nearly 90,000 households in Lithuania. In acknowledging its operational impact, a representative stated that the high level of business activity necessitates a high degree of environmental responsibility. This view suggests that growth must be evaluated beyond mere financial results.
Instead, the company measures success by the methods through which its business objectives are achieved. Therefore, the company is continuously seeking new avenues to ensure that its development contributes positively to both economic growth and environmental stewardship.
