In Tauragė, BMW stopped a motorcyclist – medics were needed

According to reports from the Tauragė County Police Department, an accident occurred on the evening of August 26 in Tauragė. The incident took place at approximately 8:46 p.m. at the intersection of Darius and Girėnas Street, which also connects to Vytauto Street, a junction regulated by traffic signals.

The collision involved a BMW 3, driven by a sober male born in 1983. The vehicle was reportedly making a turn from Darius and Girėnas Street onto Vytauto Street. At the time of the incident, the driver failed to yield or allow passage to a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, who was also reported to be sober and born in 1999, was operating a Kawasaki Zx10r. The failure to allow passage occurred specifically within the main thoroughfare of Darius and Girėnas Street. As a result of the maneuver, the motorcyclist sustained injuries.

Following the collision, local authorities were dispatched to the scene. The Tauragė County Police Department has confirmed that a formal investigation into the details of the accident has been initiated. The investigation is focusing on the sequence of events that led to the collision at the busy intersection.
