No towel is needed for these bathing: the list of places is announced for the first time

Despite being geographically distant, the initiative “Neakivaizdinis Vilnius” is introducing Japanese health practices, such as forest bathing, to the capital city. The group has curated a list of ten recommended locations within Vilnius that are suitable for these nature-based wellness activities. According to Sonata Griškienė, head of “Neakivaizdinis Vilnius,” the abundance of green spaces—including parks, nature reserves, and wooded areas—allows residents and visitors to experience nature therapy without leaving the city limits.

This availability prompted the organization to develop guidelines for forest bathing within Vilnius. The program aims to guide people toward utilizing the city’s natural environment for restorative health practices. The recommendations include specific recommended places and accompanying exercises designed to enhance well-being.

The focus on nature-based healing is presented as a method to strengthen and revitalize individuals. The initiative suggests that dedicating focused time to these natural settings can contribute positively to physical and mental health. These practices, which often involve mindful immersion in natural settings, complement traditional wellness concepts.

The guidance provided by “Neakivaizdinis Vilnius” covers various aspects of self-care, addressing general concerns such as fatigue and joint discomfort. By highlighting accessible natural resources, the program promotes the integration of restorative practices, including forms of nature bathing, into the daily life of the urban population.
