A. Fomenka established himself as a key figure in Lithuanian football throughout his professional career. Domestically, he achieved significant success, winning the national championship three times during the 1990s with titles secured in 1993, 1997, and 1998.
Furthermore, he was a three-time winner of the LFF Cup, with victories recorded in 1994, 1996, and 1999. His club journey saw him play for Panevėžys “Ekrano” from 1993 to 1995, followed by a tenure with Šiauliai “Karedos” between 1996 and 1999. On the international stage, Fomenka represented the Lithuanian national team, making his debut in 1996.
Over the course of his career, he earned 23 appearances for the national squad and contributed 7 goals. He concluded his service to the national team in 2003.
