During the hunt in Poland, a car of migrants who had illegally entered from Lithuania was involved in an accident. In total, 43 migrants who had arrived from Lithuania were caught over the weekend

Polish authorities reported multiple incidents involving unauthorized crossings and border activity over the weekend. On Friday, Polish border guards detained 15 individuals who illegally crossed the Lithuanian-Polish border. The group consisted of eight migrants from Afghanistan, three from Pakistan, and four from Somalia, alongside one detained Ukrainian courier.

The following day, near the Lithuanian border, border guards attempted to stop an Opel car for inspection. The driver reportedly refused to comply, accelerating away from the officers. A border patrol officer initiated a pursuit that resulted in the driver losing control of the vehicle, causing the car to veer off the road.

Following the incident, officers provided immediate first aid to the occupants of the car; while serious injuries were reportedly avoided, emergency services were dispatched to the scene. Separately, border guards were involved in an operation that led to the rescue of 38 migrants. These individuals were discovered emerging from a cave and were noted not to be carrying humanitarian aid packages.

The reports detail ongoing activity along the border, involving both enforcement actions and rescue efforts concerning the migrants. The events highlight the ongoing security presence and challenges at the border region.
