The new SBA Home factory in the United States currently employs 164 workers, marking a significant expansion phase for the company. The group’s total investment in this development has reached $70 million. The combined production and administrative complex spans 46,000 square meters, with 700 square meters designated for office use.
This facility is situated in Mocksville, North Carolina. Jelena Grišina, Director of Organisational Development at SBA Group, noted that expanding into the highly competitive and culturally diverse US market presents specific challenges. She highlighted that one of the primary risks is the potential erosion of the organization’s core culture or “DNA.” Grišina pointed out that establishing a factory across the Atlantic requires navigating differences that extend beyond mere business systems.
“Opening a new factory across the Atlantic involves not only different business systems, but also people – communication culture, working habits and even everyday details such as lunch and communication habits,” Grišina stated. This suggests that successful integration within the SBA’s North Carolina facility requires careful management of cultural nuances alongside operational changes. The establishment of this substantial North American presence underscores SBA’s commitment to growth within the US market.
