According to Rimi’s public relations representative, Luka Lesauskaitė-Rimeikė, consumers are advised against consuming the marinated chicken legs originating from farms that utilize antibiotics in their poultry rearing practices.
The retailer has instructed affected purchasers to return the product to any Rimi store location by the deadline of June 7, 2026. Consumers must present a valid purchase receipt to receive a full refund for the item. This advisory highlights the risk posed by salmonellosis, a common foodborne infection caused by Salmonella spp.
