The weather forecaster warns: a system of cyclones is approaching Lithuania

A weather forecast indicates varied conditions for Lithuania over the coming days. On Friday, parts of the country are expected to experience drier and calmer weather due to the passage of an anticyclone ridge. However, the eastern regions will still be influenced by an atmospheric front, which is predicted to bring periods of rain and overcast skies.

According to the forecaster, significant changes in the weather pattern are anticipated to begin as early as Saturday. A more humid and active cyclone system is set to expand toward the Scandinavian region. Furthermore, the region will see Cyclone Sabina tracking across the Baltic Sea over the weekend.

The forecaster notes that the associated atmospheric front clouds will once again bring increased rainfall. Cooler air moving in from the northwest is also expected to trigger the formation of thunderstorms, though these are not anticipated to reach the intensity of the recent heatwave. Overall, the weather conditions throughout the weekend are not expected to resemble typical summer patterns.

The forecaster advises that the most substantial shifts in the weather are projected to occur midway through the following week. Residents should monitor updates regarding the developing cyclone system as it influences the Baltic Sea area.
