Jakubauskienė’s departure from the ministerial chair followed the new ruling coalition assigning the Ministry of Education to the Democratic Union “For the sake of Lithuania.” When questioned about potential limitations on internal criticism from the new government, she stated that she had not heard any complaints regarding her performance from the “socdems.”
