17-year-old suspected of murder of a teenager in Lithuania arrested in Germany: had been hiding for several months

A minor has been located and subsequently arrested in the North Rhine-Westphalia region. Authorities confirmed that the individual was apprehended with the assistance of the Federal Criminal Police Office and law enforcement personnel from Lithuania. According to the prosecutor’s office, the minor was sought under a European Arrest Warrant and is scheduled for extradition to Germany.

The investigation centers on allegations related to a prior case of murder. The minor was initially detained several months ago after investigators received information suggesting her possible involvement in the death of another girl. Separately, reports also noted the surrender of a man who had previously shot an “Aro” officer.

A lawyer representing the victims’ parents stated that the surrender was a moment of significant relief for the family. The lawyer expressed hope that the 17-year-old suspect will soon be extradited to Germany to face charges related to the alleged murder. The focus remains on the legal proceedings against the minor who is currently suspected of involvement in the crime.
