On June 4th, around 7:30 p.m., law enforcement officers in Alytus conducted multiple stops and searches related to narcotics. The initial activity began on Statybininkų street when officers stopped a BMW driven by two individuals, aged 17 and 19. During this stop, officers recovered packages containing crystal material, suspected to be a psychotropic substance, alongside cannabis.
As the pre-trial investigation progressed, authorities conducted a search at an apartment located on the same street, which is occupied by a 36-year-old man. The search yielded several items that were subsequently seized. Authorities recovered 40 plastic sealing bags containing approximately 150 grams of the crystal substance, in addition to three electronic scales.
Shortly thereafter, officers intercepted a second BMW traveling down the street. This vehicle was being operated by a 32-year-old woman. During this stop, officers found cannabis in her possession, and one bullet was discovered inside the car’s salon.
Following these cumulative findings across the various stops involving the vehicles, related suspects were taken into custody. The coordinated operation in Alytus resulted in the seizure of narcotics and paraphernalia from multiple locations along the street.
