In a recent criminal investigation, authorities uncovered a significant shipment of illicit substances involving two accused individuals, A. M. and D.
T. According to details emerging from the case, A. M.
and D. T. operated as part of an organized group of accomplices.
The operation began in Spain, where the pair allegedly purchased 92 packages from unidentified sources. These packages contained substantial quantities of narcotics, specifically nearly 20 kilograms of cannabis and 3 kilograms of cocaine. The psychotropic substances were reportedly transported within a specially equipped hideout located inside A.
M.’s vehicle. It is alleged that D. T.
directed A. M. to move the drugs from Spain into Lithuania without obtaining the necessary customs authorization or clearance.
During the transport, D. T. was reported to have accompanied A.
M. in the car. The planned movement was interrupted when the vehicle driven by A.
M. was stopped by officers from the State Border Guard Service in the Kalvarija district. Upon inspection, officers from the Lithuanian prison service located a hidden compartment within the car.
A substantial quantity of drugs was discovered and subsequently seized by the authorities. The findings confirm a major interception effort related to the cross-border movement of illegal narcotics.
