Authorities reported that a significant traffic collision occurred around 7 pm on the gravel road Didsodė-Vaidėlnai in Juodupė. The incident involved a motorcycle and a sedan, which collided head-on. The motorcycle was being operated by a 23-year-old man.
Reports indicate that the motorcycle, identified as a CZ 350, was being driven without state registration numbers and without the necessary driving license appropriate for that specific class of vehicle. It collided with a Skoda Octavia, driven by a 26-year-old man, traveling in the opposite direction. As a result of the crash, the motorcyclist and his companion, a 24-year-old woman, sustained injuries and were transported to the Republican Panevėžys Hospital for treatment.
The occupants of the car were reported to be uninjured. Both vehicles sustained heavy damage during the impact. Following the collision, an investigation has been launched into the accident, given that multiple individuals were left injured.
Authorities are examining the circumstances surrounding the traffic violation and the resulting injuries sustained by the two passengers.
