L. Alsys says that he has essentially formed his team: one deputy minister will continue the work

L. Alsys addressed personnel changes regarding government roles on LRT radio on Thursday, confirming that certain professional collaborations will continue while others will conclude. Specifically, Alsys stated that the work with R.

Kurmin will proceed, but collaboration with E. Utarienė will cease. This discussion followed confirmations from deputy ministers Viktoras Denisenko and Matas Drukteinis.

Both ministers, who previously worked within the team of Culture Ministry minister Vaida Aleknavičienė, indicated they were not surprised by the change in the ministry’s leadership, suggesting that no further positions would be available within that department. Regarding his own department, L. Alsys informed listeners that the structure of his team is substantially formed.

He noted that discussions are currently ongoing concerning only one outstanding deputy minister position, though the name of the minister in question was not disclosed. The broader context of cabinet restructuring was highlighted by Prime Minister M. Sinkevičius during a press conference.

Sinkevičius announced the composition of the cabinet, stating that the team of ministers is largely established. He added that there remains a possibility that one deputy minister role is still subject to negotiation with a prospective candidate. These statements reflect a pattern of ongoing departmental adjustments across the government.

The focus remains on finalizing the composition of key administrative units while maintaining continuity in necessary operational areas.
