On July 21, at approximately 5:39 p.m., the Department of Fire Protection and Rescue was dispatched to a reported fire at a farmhouse located in the Šilutė district, Inkaklių village, on Ašvos street. Upon arrival, the scene indicated an active structure fire. Firefighters immediately initiated containment measures.
These efforts included laying a 150-meter main water supply line and removing six balloons from the burning farmhouse. To further manage the incident, ESO specialists arrived later, at 7:14 p.m., to disconnect the building’s electricity supply. The structure involved in the fire was described as an L-shaped building featuring a single floor and a mansard roof, all topped with a reinforced concrete roof.
Inside the farmhouse, occupants reported the presence of a sauna and a garage. Additionally, the fire impacted an adjacent structure, which was noted to have solar panels on its roof and included a greenhouse. The response from the firefighters focused on mitigating the spread of the fire and securing utilities.
The coordination between fire services and utility specialists was crucial in controlling the blaze at the farmhouse. Authorities maintained a continuous presence throughout the incident to ensure public safety and manage the necessary firefighting operations.
