According to data compiled from a criminal investigation, two Polish citizens were apprehended in connection with a coordinated series of robberies targeting commercial facilities in Lithuania. The investigation suggests that between February and March of this year, the pair systematically entered and stole cash from the coin-collecting terminals of car washing plants across various Lithuanian cities. Investigators determined that the suspects gained access to the secure terminals using specialized tools, including metal shears and pliers.
The pre-trial investigation uncovered evidence of theft and property damage across four distinct locations: Kuršėnai, Ukmergė, Jurbarkas, and Vilkaviškis. Furthermore, authorities noted an attempted robbery at a washing plant in Šiauliai. The financial losses attributed to the two Polish citizens are substantial and varied by location.
Specifically, the pair is suspected of stealing 5,900 euros from the self-service washing plant in Vilkaviškis. Additional documented thefts include 2,156 euros from Jurbarkas, 3,593 euros from Ukmergė, and 33 euros from Kuršėnai. The cumulative evidence points to a calculated pattern of illegal activity targeting cash deposits within the local service industry.
