The Lithuanian national team lost again: the talent of the Žalgiris system led to despair

The game saw a significant shift in momentum throughout the contest. Initially, the Lithuanians maintained a lead after the first two quarters, leading 37:35. However, the Estonians mounted a strong challenge during the third quarter, ultimately taking control of the match with a score of 46:53.

While the Lithuanians managed to reduce the deficit to 54:55, the momentum appeared to stabilize in their favor. By the middle of the fourth quarter, the Lithuanians established a two-digit lead, reaching 60:70. With just one minute remaining, the gap widened to 16 points (64:80), solidifying the outcome of the match.

A key contributor to the Estonians’ effort was Stenas Markus Adamsonas, who proved to be the most productive player for the Kaunas “Žalgiris” system. Adamsonas recorded 25 points, alongside six rebounds and four assists, finishing with 28 total points. His performance included 5 successful dribbles out of 7 attempts, 2 successful trips out of 4, and 9 successful free throws out of 10.

This performance follows his efforts last season in the National Basketball League (NKL), where he contributed 10 points while playing with the “Žalgiris” junior team.
